When I worked at Motorola way back, we were designing the car charger circuit in the phone and the car kit. One of the engineers said that it drained the battery in his car. Turns out on some cars at that time, power wasn't cut to the cigarette lighter sockets when the car was turned off. Not sure if this is universally true, but certainly not a great idea to have a completely stupid lighter adapter. Thanks for the comment.Wow. Now its for sale with new motor an the whole kit!
